Post Named a Member of Iowa Bankers Legislative Committee

Greg Post, President and CEO of Northwest Financial Corp., Arnolds Park, IA, has been named to serve a two-year term on the Iowa Bankers Association's (IBA) Legislative Committee. The committee, comprised of senior level bank management professionals from across the state, is responsible for developing and guiding the Association’s legislative and grassroots efforts.

“We’re pleased to have Greg Post joining the Legislative committee. His expertise and commitment will provide direction for the Association as it identifies and develops solutions for various policy issues,” said Sharon Presnall, Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Compliance for the Iowa Bankers Association. “The Association is engaged in a wide variety of legislative issues, and it is vitally important that bankers themselves set the direction for the industry because they are in the best position to understand how various laws, rules and regulations impact their banks, communities, and customers,” said Presnall.

Greg Post is President and CEO of Northwest Financial Corp and is responsible for leading 2 bank charters within the Northwest Financial Corp organization. This includes Northwest Bank of Spencer and First National Bank in Creston, IA. The two banks collectively hold $2.6 billion in assets and have 22 offices throughout Iowa and eastern Nebraska. Northwest Wealth Management, LLC is also a part of Northwest Financial Corp. Post started his career with Northwest Financial Corp in 1989. His vision and leadership have been vital to the success and growth of the organization. Post commented, “I’m looking forward to representing the banking industry in Iowa and help provide guidance on important issues that impact our communities.”
