Joe Conover, President of Northwest Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Walhof to NW Iowa Regional President.  Walhof’s responsibilities include overseeing our Sioux Center, Le Mars, Spencer, Milford, Arnolds Park, Spirit Lake, and Estherville locations and their Market Leaders.  This includes Chad Schuiteman, Sioux Center; Kevin Eekhoff, Le Mars; Doug Benjamin, Spencer; Nicole Evans, Milford & Arnolds Park; Jed Jensen, Spirit Lake and Curt Smith, Estherville.  Eric’s role supports the bank’s mission of providing progressive banking services to its customer base while building relationships and exceeding expectations. 

Walhof has 25 years of banking experience in agricultural and commercial banking and team management.  He has been with Northwest Bank since 2007 and has held various positions including Market President, Senior Lender, and Regional President over Sioux Center and Le Mars, allowing him exposure to all areas within our organization.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Dordt College.  He has been an active community member, serving on the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce Board, the Sioux Center Health Foundation, the Sioux Center Planning and Zoning Committee, and ATLAS of Sioux Center.  He is an active member of Kiwanis and has also been involved with several other community entities.  Eric’s leadership experience, understanding of Northwest Bank’s culture, and business banking experience positions him well to lead the region and growth in the coming years. 

Family life is very important to Walhof.  His wife Stephanie is a 7th Grade middle school teacher at Sioux Center Community Schools teaching language arts.  Their eldest son Trajan lives in Bloomington, MN.  He is a graduate of SDSU and works as a Mechanical Engineer for Emanuelson-Podas, Inc. in Edina, MN.  Their son Damon is a senior at Iowa State University and will graduate this upcoming December 2023.  He is a business student focusing in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.  Their daughter Makenna is a senior at Sioux Center High School.  She will be attending Dordt University in Sioux Center this upcoming August 2023, majoring in Engineering.  Eric and his family will relocate to the Lakes area later this summer.
