A Des Moines, Iowa native, Wendy brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry to her role as Wealth Advisor with Northwest Wealth Management. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of the financial decisions individuals and families face at every stage of life, including more than 10 years of experience working directly with clients as a financial advisor.
Wendy earned her undergraduate degree in business from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, reflecting her commitment to providing thoughtful, comprehensive financial guidance and maintaining high professional standards.
Wendy takes a highly personalized approach to wealth management, investing the time to truly get to know her clients and understand what matters most to them. She helps clients identify and prioritize their financial needs and opportunities, then develops customized financial plans designed around their individual goals and circumstances. Her areas of focus include retirement planning, estate planning and settlement, tax-aware financial planning, and education savings strategies. From planning through implementation, Wendy works alongside her clients to turn those strategies into action and help them stay on track toward their goals. As a fiduciary, she is committed to putting her clients’ interests first and providing advice grounded in their unique needs and objectives.
A lifelong connection to the Des Moines area gives Wendy a strong appreciation for the community and the people who call it home. Based in the Ankeny market, she works with individuals and families in Ankeny and throughout the greater Des Moines area, helping clients build, manage, and preserve their wealth through every stage of life.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending time with family, including visiting her son in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also enjoys gardening and getting behind the wheel of her 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible.
