Joni Kellen joined Northwest Bank as a Wealth Advisor in 2021 and brings with her over decade of experience in the financial services industry. She specializes in comprehensive planning, with a particular focus on tax strategies. Known for her educational approach, Joni is passionate about empowering clients through knowledge. She combines creativity with evidence-based research to design personalized strategies that align with her clients’ values, goals, and long-term financial well-being.

Joni and her husband, Keith Lamfers, are northwest Iowa natives. In their free time, they enjoy traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren, cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones, cycling, and spending time with friends.

Joni loves being involved in community, wherever she has lived. She currently serves on the board of directors for The Ames Foundation, is the project lead for The Ames Murals Project, Chamber Ambassador, member of the Ames Business Solutions Networking Group, serves on the Parish Life Committee at St. Cecilia, and is a graduate of Leadership Ames XXXV.

She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Iowa State University and is a life-long learner, earning the CFP® designation to provide the best advice to the people that she serves. She comes with more than seven years of financial services experience.
