The First National Bank in Creston Merge as Northwest Bank

First National Bank in Creston has successfully consolidated with Northwest Bank. Both institutions share the same holding company and same ownership, Northwest Financial Corp owned by Dwight and Neal Conover. This common ownership made the merger of the banks easier as the two teams have been working together for years. Bank locations in Creston, Shenandoah and Afton will be managed by the same leadership.
The merger of the two organizations provides former First National Bank customers with more banking products and features and creates more career opportunities for the employees. The change has strengthened the bank’s ability to reinvest into its communities and employees—all under a strong and experienced leadership team.
The combined bank provides customers with more bank locations. Northwest Bank started with 18 locations, with the addition of the First National Bank offices located in Creston, Afton, and Shenandoah, they have grown to 22 locations. The added locations increase Northwest Bank’s footprint, serving Northwest, Central, and Southwest Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska.
