Northwest Bank in Estherville organized efforts to support the Estherville Lincoln Central (ELC) Community School’s Backpack Program, which provides vital nutritional assistance to youth and families in need. The initiatives included fundraising and collecting donations of food and personal care items.
Northwest Bank matched donations up to $500 for the program. Thanks to the incredible generosity of local community members and businesses, this year’s effort was a great success. A special recognition goes to a group of ELC students Garret Fehr, Mason Curry and Easton Quastad, who graciously donated money they raised while hosting a lemonade stand this past summer during RAGBRAI.
Marcy Sander, Bank President at Northwest Bank presented a check for $2,190.00 to second-grade teachers, Matt Devries, Megan Anderson, Deborah Gruwell, Elementary Counselor, Christina Klingbeil and Principal Brooke Hanson. In addition to monetary contributions, a significant amount of food and personal care items were also collected and donated to the program.
The Northwest Bank team is honored to host such a meaningful initiative and extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone in the community for their generosity and kindness, which have made a positive difference in the lives of many local families.
