At Northwest Bank, we believe building strong communities starts with empowering the next generation. That’s why we’re committed to helping young people develop smart financial habits early—equipping them with the tools they need to make confident money decisions for life.
Throughout April, Northwest Bank employees volunteered in classrooms and provided bank tours across our footprint as part of the American Bankers Association’s National Teach Children to Save Program. This year alone, our team connected with more than 2,200 students, delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons focused on saving, budgeting, earning interest, and understanding the difference between wants and needs.
Since becoming a program champion in 2012, Northwest Bank has reached more than 25,000 students through this initiative—reinforcing our long-standing commitment to financial education and community investment.
“Financial literacy is a critical life skill, and the earlier it’s introduced, the greater the impact,” said Joe Conover, President of Northwest Bank. “We’re proud of our employees who take time to connect with students and help them build a strong foundation for their financial future.”
Northwest Bank’s local efforts contribute to a broader national movement led by the American Bankers Association. Over the past three years, Teach Children to Save and the ABA Foundation’s other initiatives have enabled more than 1,300 banks and 110,000 bank volunteers to reach millions of people nationwide with financial literacy resources.
By making financial education accessible and engaging, Northwest Bank continues to invest in the long-term success of the individuals and communities it serves.
