Northwest Bank is pleased to announce the success of its annual Community Shred Day, held on June 5th across locations in Spencer, Arnolds Park, Spirit Lake and Estherville. The event drew a strong turnout from community members who took advantage of the opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents while supporting a meaningful cause.
Participants were invited to bring personal documents for secure on-site shredding, helping protect against identity theft and promoting proper disposal practices. The event saw an impressive level of participation across all four locations.
In addition to providing this valuable service, the event also served as a fundraiser to benefit Family Crisis Centers. A free-will offering was collected throughout the day, and thanks to the generosity of attendees, a total of $2,530 was raised to support the vital work of this nonprofit organization.
Nicole Evans, Lakes Market President at Northwest Bank, expressed her gratitude for the community’s involvement: “We are incredibly thankful to everyone who participated and donated. The success of this year’s Shred Day highlights the strength of our community and its commitment to coming together to support important local organizations like Family Crisis Centers.”
Jessica Rohrs, Executive Director of Family Crisis Centers, shared her appreciation: “We are deeply grateful for this generous gift and humbled by the support from our community. These donations will help us continue to provide guidance, resources, and support to those in need, making a lasting impact in their lives.”
