Northwest Bank Names Marcy Sander as Estherville Bank President; Curt Smith to Focus on Ag and Commercial Lending

Estherville, IA - Northwest Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Marcy Sander to Bank President in Estherville, effective June 9^th, 2025.

Marcy joined Northwest Bank through its Management Trainee Program, a development track designed for emerging leaders with a strong commitment to community involvement and a desire to grow within the organization. The program provides broad exposure across the bank’s departments, equipping participants with a well-rounded understanding of banking operations and leadership. Marcy quickly distinguished herself through her initiative, leadership qualities, and customer-focused mindset.

In her new role, Marcy will lead the Estherville team and continue Northwest Bank’s tradition of local decision-making, community engagement, and personalized service.

As part of this transition, Curt Smith, who has served as Estherville Bank President since 2022, will shift his focus exclusively to agricultural and commercial lending—areas where he has built long-standing relationships and continues to make a significant impact.
