Adjustable Rate Mortgage

An adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) is a loan with an initial fixed interest rate that can adjust throughout the loan term. They are portfolio loans that are designed to assist borrowers that may not qualify for a traditional mortgage due to unique scenarios. We offer many options of adjustable-rate mortgages to accommodate these situations.

Homes for Iowans

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) offers this program which provides borrowers with $2,500 for down payment and closing costs assistance to eligible first-time and repeat home buyers who are purchasing a primary residence in Iowa and meet household income and purchase price requirements. Optional Grant or $5000 second mortgage with no monthly repayment.

There are several programs at the local, regional, and state levels that provide grant money to be used for down payment and closing costs. Many of these programs are income based and target low to moderate income borrowers. Each grant typically ranges from $2,000 to $7,500 and require specific underwriting to qualify.
