Bryson’s roots are in small-town Iowa, where he grew up in Hamburg, IA located in the state's southwest corner. His childhood was shaped by the agricultural lifestyle, as well as a love for hunting, fishing, and spending summers at his family’s summer home in Okoboji. Both the Iowa Great Lakes Area and Southern Iowa lifestyle has played a significant role in his life, fostering a strong sense of community and connection.
After graduating from Sidney Iowa High School in 2018, Bryson went on to attend Peru State College in Nebraska, where he played college football and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2021. Following graduation, he moved to the Lakes area and joined Northwest Wealth Management. Bryson is married to his wife Alana, an elementary school teacher, and together, they enjoy a fulfilling life in the lakes area. Their shared commitment to community and family values strengthens both their professional and personal lives.

Cara graduated with honors from Iowa State University in 2015 with a degree in Finance. She grew up in Northwest Iowa and has lived in the Des Moines Metro Area since 2015 with her husband, Josh, and their children, Josie and Charlie. Passionate about youth athletics and empowering young women through sports, Cara currently serves as an Assistant Volleyball Coach in Ankeny. She is dedicated to her customers’ success and well-being, supporting them in both their personal and professional endeavors.

With a career that spans over 25 years, Doug has wide range of banking and management experience that includes retail, business banking, agricultural and commercial lending, and treasury management. Doug is an Iowa native and was raised on a west central Iowa farm. He resides in Ames with his wife, Tina and their twin sons, Carson, and Caleb. He is a 1995 graduate of Iowa State University and a three-year football letter winner and member of the 1994 Academic All-Big 8 team. He is also a 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. Doug is active in and dedicated to the Ames and Story County community. He has served on the United Way of Story County Board of Directors, Gilbert Education Foundation board, Cyclone Gridiron Club board and was treasurer of ASSET. Many hours have also been spent coaching youth sports teams over the years. He also was an appointed commissioner for the Ames Planning and Zoning Commission. Currently, Doug is on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Story County, Ames Economic Development Commission, and Ames Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Ames Noon Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Eric Walhof, Regional President, oversees Northwest Bank locations in Sioux Center, Le Mars, Spencer, Milford, Arnolds Park, Spirit Lake, and Estherville, along with their Market Presidents. He supports the bank’s mission by delivering progressive financial services and building long-term relationships with customers and communities. With over 25 years of experience in agricultural and commercial banking, as well as team leadership, Eric brings a strong understanding of community banking and a passion for mentoring customers and employees. He is committed to developing solid loan portfolios and empowering local teams to grow and lead. Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Dordt College. He previously served on the Sioux Center Health Foundation, Planning and Zoning Committee, and ATLAS of Sioux Center. He remains active in community efforts across Northwest Bank’s footprint and is a current Kiwanis member. Eric is dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting team members in their professional growth.
James Shoquist was raised in southwest Wisconsin. He joined the United States Air Force in 1999, serving honorably until 2005. After his service in the Air Force, James earned a Bachelor's degree from University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2007. Upon graduation he entered the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo. In May 2014 James joined the Northwest Wealth Management team.

Jodi has been in banking since 2022, joining as a commercial lender. With a strong business background, she brings a unique perspective to the industry. Her entrepreneurial journey began right after college in January 1997 when she launched a multi-location dry-cleaning business, which she successfully owned, managed, and operated until selling it in January 2019. In 2010, Jodi expanded her business interests into residential real estate, where she continues to own and manage a portfolio of properties.
Outside of work, Jodi is a devoted mother to three children: Lauren, Zachary, and Scarlet. Lauren is a senior majoring in speech pathology at the University of Iowa, Zachary is a junior studying film and television at DePaul University, and Scarlet is a freshman at Southeast Polk High School, proudly performing with the RhythAMetteS dance team. Jodi enjoys long outdoor walks and cherishes time with her children and friends.

With over 40 years of financial services experience, John brings deep expertise in all areas of community banking. Before joining Northwest Bank, John served as an Ag Lender with Farmers State Bank in Jesup, Iowa, Farm Credit Services in Rochester, Minnesota, and as President of Wells Fargo Bank in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
John is an active community leader. He currently serves on the board and executive committee of UnityPoint Health System, where he chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee. He is a past president of Fort Dodge Catholic Schools, the Fort Dodge & Webster County Development Corporation, and the Trinity Regional Hospital Foundation. His past service also includes roles with the Greater Fort Dodge Area Chamber of Commerce (Ambassador), Friendship Haven Foundation, UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge (Board Chair), and the Iowa College Foundation (Webster County Co-Chair).
Josh joined the Northwest Bank team in 2024 and is responsible for developing and servicing the bank needs of commercial businesses. Josh works with businesses of all sizes and has a passion for helping businesses meet their goals. Josh has volunteered with the City of Ankeny Parks and Recreation board and has been an Ambassador with the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce. Josh and his wife have lived in Ankeny for 29 years and Josh has been in banking for over 19 years.
Kelly brings over 18 years of commercial lending and relationship management experience to Northwest Bank. Paul brings over 10 years of experience in commercial lending with Northwest Bank, specializing in equipment loans, lines of credit, and commercial real estate financing. He also has an extensive background in Treasury Management, giving him a well-rounded perspective to support the financial needs of local businesses.
A strong advocate for community involvement, Paul currently serves as President of the Clay County Pheasants Forever Chapter, sits on the Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club Board, and is a past Board Chair of the Spencer Family YMCA.
With over 30 years of financial services experience, Ralph DiCesare specializes in construction / development lending at Northwest Bank and previously held the same position with Union Planters / Regions Bank. Ralph is involved with the Des Moines Homebuilders Association, is the Treasurer for St. Marys / Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department, and coaches high school football for Martensdale – St. Marys Community Schools.
Ross is responsible for managing and developing relationships with local businesses in the Des Moines market. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Finance and Accounting.
