Cara has over 10 years of banking experience and has been with Northwest Bank since December 2015. She began as a Credit Analyst and has since served as a Commercial Loan Officer. She is now the Bank President of the Ankeny locations, where she focuses on developing and servicing commercial businesses, supporting their growth, fostering team development, and coordinating community engagement initiatives.
Cara graduated with honors from Iowa State University in 2015 with a degree in Finance. She grew up in Northwest Iowa and has lived in the Des Moines Metro Area since 2015 with her husband, Josh, and their children, Josie and Charlie. Passionate about youth athletics and empowering young women through sports, Cara currently serves as an Assistant Volleyball Coach in Ankeny. She is dedicated to her customers’ success and well-being, supporting them in both their personal and professional endeavors.
Josh joined the Northwest Bank team in 2024 and is responsible for developing and servicing the bank needs of commercial businesses. Josh works with businesses of all sizes and has a passion for helping businesses meet their goals. Josh has volunteered with the City of Ankeny Parks and Recreation board and has been an Ambassador with the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce. Josh and his wife have lived in Ankeny for 29 years and Josh has been in banking for over 19 years.
